Although in the now, the beats from Princess Nokia brings you right back to the current with a solid and modern mix in her known genre of rap, filling the set with her cool tune “I like him”. How I adored this march from these fine troops, with a carefully balanced styling of refined yet bolder designs from the house of CELINE. I adore the sporty white socks, the slow-life referenced rubber boots, the romantic ultra-glam dresses paired with the laidback lumberjack shirts. Applause to Hedi Slimane for creatively executing this currently challenging event of a runway show so brilliantly, a show much lighter in essence than his so-called more grungy signature vibes, still an amusing match to his rockin’ image. You cannot miss the nod to Kurt Cobains iconic 90s style with the oval shaped shades carefully covering the glam-grunge goddesses eyes. Oh yeah, and we will all crave a cap like that by spring 2021, so hit the waiting lists already cause they will be long.
Accents of the stereotypical and eclectic small town lifestyle shined through the whole picture, and made this somewhat a small Hollywood 90s reference creation, channeling the androgynous mixed with romantic glam. So vibrant.
