Untamed

Hear my swoon for CELINEs digital SS21 fashion show, set on Monday, Oct. 26 with no current crowd except Kaia Gerber and her long legged fellowers strolling the Louis II Stadium in Monaco. Hedi Slimanes captivating creative direction elevated the new and customized athleisure twist from the fine house of CELINE.

Say, if you are in own person, or a kin to any of the Millennial generation, this collection will take you on a rhetoric timelapse, back to when Nirvana, Blur and their likeminded rock band representatives repeatedly filled every garage- or basement hangout with their rebellious lyrics and thundering drums. Although in the now, the beats from Princess Nokia brings you right back to the current with a solid and modern mix in her known genre of rap, filling the set with her cool tune “I like him”. The pulse so eclectic, the pieces; to drop for.

How I adored this march from these fine troops, with a carefully balanced styling of refined yet bolder designs from the house of CELINE. I adore the sporty white socks, the slow-life referenced rubber boots, the romantic ultra-glam dresses paired with the laidback lumberjack shirts. Applause to Hedi Slimane for creatively executing this currently challenging event of a runway show so brilliantly, a show much lighter in essence than his so-called more grungy signature vibes, still an amusing match to his rockin’ image. You cannot miss the nod to Kurt Cobains iconic 90s style with the oval shaped shades carefully covering the glam-grunge goddesses eyes. Oh yeah, and we will all crave a cap like that by spring 2021, so hit the waiting lists already cause they will be long.

Accents of the stereotypical and eclectic small town lifestyle shined through the whole picture, and made this somewhat a small Hollywood 90s reference creation, channeling the androgynous mixed with romantic glam. So vibrant.
